Episode 14

How do you find the courage to believe in yourself?

Published on: 24th February, 2021

How do you find the courage to believe in yourself? We sat down with Cody Deason (with whom we are totally related!) who is a professional baseball player and signed with the Houston Astros. We discussed in detail just how he finds the strength to continue to show up for and believe in himself.

He felt the pull to pursue his dream of being a professional baseball player even as a young boy. He saw something great for himself and chased after his dream. In the face of adversity he learn to embrace failure and befriend pain.

We discuss the tools he relies on such as breath work, meditation, and the Wim Hoff method. Cody has put into practice acceptance of self and situation, and breathing through all the curveballs life has thrown at him. With each step closer to realizing his dreams he comes to a deeper understanding of the importance of being a good, kind human being.

We hope you enjoy his story and take a lesson from his experience of going after what you want in life and learning from adversity.

This podcast is a collection of conversations. Some of them are interviews, some are guided meditations and breath work, and a lot of them are just the two of us sitting down at the table to talk through our experiences and all the things we’ve learned. We discuss big and heavy topics like trauma, insecurities, body image. And although we might be discussing a weighty issue one moment, we will be laughing the next. We are not experts, we are not perfectionists. We are just two women on our own journey oh yeah, and we’re totally related! We hope to start the conversation with you and share resources, and we hope that you can totally relate too.
