What do you love about you?
What do you love about you? Have you ever given it much thought? Do you love and appreciate yourself for all the amazing things you do on a daily basis? Or do you find yourself frustrated because you're constantly fighting against the shape of your body, and wishing it looked a different way? Perhaps the best place to begin is acceptance.
This episode is part two of a three part series in which we discuss the relationship women have with their bodies, and the role diet culture plays in that relationship.
We sat down with Randi who shares her experience of gastric bypass surgery, and how that allowed her to come to a place of acceptance of her body. She talks through what led her to that decision, the tumultuous week she had the surgery, and her feelings for her daughter.
Randi is also an advocate for therapy, she tells us about her first experience with therapy and her diagnosis. She shares some of her regrets as a young mom, and what she hopes for herself in the future.
